What repeats every month: money received, documents posted, open items reviewed, invoices paid.
-
1
Bank reconciliation (camt.053/054) in the collection journal: import the bank's file – payments find their own receivable through the QR reference. Whatever cannot be matched stays visible instead of quietly disappearing.
-
2
Capture documents – photograph or upload the invoice. Recognition reads amount, date and supplier and suggests the account and the property. Check, then post.
-
3
Work through the open items – only those who have not paid are still outstanding. The dunning run starts from there (see Dunning & debt collection).
-
4
Release payments – collect tradesmen's and suppliers' invoices in the payment run and hand them to the bank as a pain.001 file, instead of entering them one by one.
-
5
Look ahead – the deadline calendar shows what falls due next month: termination dates, ends of lease, maintenance.
